Spring is here… finally! Although it doesn’t feel like it most days, not yet anyway, we know that the promise of warmer weather, sunshine, cookouts, lake days and all of the pleasant memories that have us relishing the longer days of summer is right around the corner. Programs both in schools and at the Nature Center are picking up as well. These programs bring hands on learning to kids, connects them to nature, and fosters environmental stewardship for our community.
Other upcoming events planned for spring include a clean up day collaboration with Paulding County Park District and local businesses like Lafarge. We invite you to stop by New Rochester Park or the Black Swamp Nature Center on Saturday, April 23rd between 10:00-2:00 and lend a hand to pick up trash, trim trees, or lay mulch to improve your community and feel good about helping.
